GGCC Retreat 2009 ~ "WONDER: FINDING GOD IN EVERYDAY LIFE"

"Ask and it will be given to you;
seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives;
he who seeks finds;
and to him who knocks,
the door will be opened."
- Jesus

Where is God? If God exists, why can't I see Him? How do we know that God is real? I feel God's presence at church but what about my everyday life, where is He then?

We all ask these questions from time to time. We struggle to find God in everyday life. Yet Jesus' teaching is clear: If we will seek after Him, we will find him -- and many times in the most unlikely of places.

This year's retreat will give all of us an opportunity to explore Wonder: Finding God in Everyday Life. Dr. Craig Detweiler, a good friend of Edwin's as well as an author, filmmaker, professor and cultural commentator will guide us through this exploration with a series of sessions throughout the weekend.

NEW THIS YEAR! Ron and Dawn Stueckle host our first Friday Night Karaoke Lounge. Next, we'll hook arms with friends new and old during our Saturday Night Hoe Down with professional square dance caller Jim Osborne (don't forget to bring your overalls and cowboy or straw hat!).

Invite your friends, no matter where they are on their spiritual journey. Come away with us and return to the City refreshed and renewed!
